Buzznet: At the beginning of the video you have a message explaining that this story was inspired from your own life. Why was that so important for you to include in the video?
Jasmine Villegas: This video was so important to me because I was personally involved in domestic violence. I know how hard it can be initially to get the strength to get help. Hopefully by me sharing my story I can help other women who may be going through the same situation get the courage to get help and change their lives.
BN: What does this song mean to you and how do you think your fans will react to the message of the song?
JV: This song means the world to me. My fans know me very well. They know I always share everything with them good or bad. I want them to know I'm not any different than they are and we all go through struggles and difficult situations in our lives and it's nothing to be ashamed of!
BN: Where would you suggest a fan turn if they find themselves in an abusive relationship?
JV: If a fan is going through domestic violence issues a great source is Love Is Respect or No More. They can also call the National Domestic Violence Hotline to get help and information.
